Life is not fair, and no one promised it would be. But its the ups and downs that we go through day after day that makes life interesting. Despite the storms we encounter we come out better than we have ever been. One thing I have learnt is to continually keep moving forward, no matter the situations we find ourselves into, even when things are not going our way.
Most importantly when we fail on things that we had high hopes for and never expected that they would. Its okay to fail. Its okay to make mistakes. Its okay to feel bad about it. However, IT IS NOT OKAY TO REMAIN THERE. When you remain there so many things will pass you and you might miss out on the next open door waiting for you. Because as the old saying goes, ‘when one door closes another one opens’ and misfortunes can bring fortunes.
I know at times its difficult to get over something that you had put all your efforts and time into. Sometimes we feel like not getting out of bed and sleeping all day. But accepting what is done is done and cannot be undone helps us to keep moving and doing what we have to do so that our today and tomorrow will be much better.
Don’t blame yourself for things that you have or had no control about. That is how life is. Rise up, dust yourself off and carry the lessons with you. Because I believe that every situation is a learning experience. And having had the courage to begin it in the first place is half the battle.
Keep on moving. Keep on trying new things. Keep learning. Don’t let a day end without learning something new. Do research or anything that will make you a better person. As Robin Sharma says, “continually challenge yourself daily to outperform the you of yesterday”. Make everything you do a little bit better than it was the day before. Make the present better than the past. Don’t do the same things the same way as you have always done them. Keep going and eventually the best days are ahead of you.

Wishing you the best in all that you set out to do!

Its not once or twice that at some point in our lives we find ourselves complaining about the challenges we are facing, the things we do not have and so many other things like how we would want things to be. We complain that we are not where we would like to be due to our impatience, which often makes us forget to give thanks.

We forget to appreciate the gift of life that we are blessed with everyday, having eyes that can see, ears that can hear, hands that can work and legs that can walk, etc. The very things that you have someone else is wishing to get that. For instance, a patient in a hospital praying to get well and go home.

Stop complaining that your child keeps you on your toes all day, a woman elsewhere is crying to God to give her a child. Yes you are not as rich as you would want to be, do you know some people are going for days without food? You do not have finances as you would wish to have, do you know there are some wealthy people out there wishing they could buy good health with their riches? You complain that you do not have that size 8 you have always dreamt of, if you were lying in the ICU with that shape would it be relevant?

We all have different paths. No two people have the same path or purpose. The most important is to appreciate what we have on the way to where we are heading. Everyday is a miracle and lets all learn to appreciate all the things we have.Take a look back a decade ago, or where you have come from since then, and remember someone is else is in that situation you were in years ago. That way we can thank God and the great things He has blessed us with.
